AAA Medical Personnel – Nursing (Job Postings)

Registered Nurse

Job Duties – Responsible for independently
performing a full range of tasks in providing nursing care to assigned
patients. Performs individualized nursing assessments for each assigned
patient; develops/updates care plans utilizing established standards of
care which include physician prescribed therapies and common nursing measures
derived from disease related therapy/personal needs; organizes/coordinates
patient care; collaborates with staff to implement patient care plans
and to provide holistic patient care; participates in staff/patient care
conferences; assists in clinical education/orientation of other staff;
guides and supervises assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care;
performs related duties as required. The position involves not only delivery
of skilled patient care but also health promotion and education, disease
prevention, research and healthcare management.

Qualifications – Knowledge of the principles
and practices of nursing; considerable interpersonal and communication
skills; ability to establish priorities and manage effectively; ability
to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Requirements – 2-3 year hospital
based diploma or 2 year Associate degree required. 4 year Baccalaureate
degree program preferred.

Licensure Requirements – Candidates must
possess and maintain or be eligible for a current RN license in the State
of Connecticut. Preferred – Two (2) years ED experience, ACLS
certification.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Duties – The job includes providing
technical nursing care under the direction of Registered Nurses and Physicians.
Under the direction of an RN, the LPN will perform selected nursing tasks
and participate in the nursing process which includes observation and
collection of patient data, provision of direct patient care, implementation
of nursing care plans, maintenance of equipment and supplies, documentation
of nursing care given and patient response.

Qualifications – Strong multi-tasking skills.
Completes several concurrent tasks. Excellent interpersonal, written and
verbal communication skills are required.

and clinical

Nursing Assistant

Job Duties – The job includes providing
basic patient care under direct nursing supervision. Duties may include
bathing and dressing patients, changing linens, feeding patients, and
assisting with other activities of daily living. Nursing assistants may
also obtain vital signs and perform other routine tasks under the direct
supervision of a nurse.

Medical Assistant

Job Duties – The medical assistant will
assist physicians and nurses in offices or other medical settings, perform
clerical and administrative duties. Administrative duties for this position
will be similar to those of the medical secretary, but may include office
supervision. Clinical duties for this position may include preparing the
patient for examination, obtaining vital signs, assisting with examinations.

Qualifications – Must be dependable, professional,
service-oriented with excellent communication skills. Position requires
a Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the National
Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Educational Requirements – 12-24 months
or on-the-job-training.

Home Health Aide

Job Duties – This position involves providing
services to homebound, elderly, ill, or disabled individuals and their
families under the supervision of home care or social service agencies.
Duties will also include providing homemaker services (bathing, ambulation,
bed to chair transfers) and emotional support to clients.
